Follow

12 minutes; 2 dancers.

Follow is a site specific work created for a small farm in Garrison, NY as part of Barn Dances 2018. The piece takes advantage of both the panoramic landscapes and architectural features of the property. Over the course of the dance, the performers travel from a sloping field into an elevated, open-air walkway. Audience members are encouraged to follow the mobile performance and view the dance from multiple vantage points and perspectives.

Away They Blew

6 minutes; 6 dancers.

Away They Blew is a serene work built with fluid movement phrases, exploring compositional questions of subject versus landscape. The dancers melt in and out of coherent spatial configurations and give breath to the piece through organically changing rhythms in their movements. The work as a whole has a hypnotic effect akin to observing the morphing forms of flocking birds or leaves blowing in the wind.
